Apple Raspberry Crumble


4-5 large apples (peeled and sliced)
2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries
3 cups castor sugar
300 mls water
250 gm unsalted butter
200gm rolled oats
100 gm almonds (sliced)
100 gm desiccated coconut
100 gm sultanas ( optional )
2 tbs plain flour

The crumble
Place rolled oats, coconut, almonds and flour into a bowl and toss altogether
Melt butter and pour into topping mix
Add the remainder of castor sugar and toss together

Place in a shallow pan place sliced apples 1 cup castor sugar and 1 cup water and allow to soften apples
The water and sugar will need to be thickened so add cornflour into mixture and allow to combine well with apples
When all combined and thickened place add raspberries and set aside and allow to cool

Get it together
Pour apple mix into either buttered ramikins or pie dish
Then place crumble mix on top of filling and pat down gently
Place in hot oven and bake for 20 mins until brown brown on top
